Bradley Allen Hill, 24, of Chaska, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to five years in prison for charges related to methamphetamine possession. “If you deal meth in Carver County, we will seek maximum penalties,” stated Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler, in a press release. “Hill is a significant risk to the public safety. He needed to be taken off the streets – and he was,” said Keeler.
Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler announced today that his office charged a Dahlgren Township farmer with two misdemeanors for illegally discharging large amounts of animal manure into the groundwater in Dahlgren Township. The criminal complaint was filed against Dennis Peter Lenzen, DOB 3/29/1936 of Dahlgren Township, MN. On April 14, 2009, a person living near Lenzen’s dairy farm reported a strong odor and significant discoloration in a drainage ditch beneath County Road 43.
Court of Appeals Affirms Dismissal of Schwichtenberg Lawsuit
On May 5, 2009, the Minnesota Court of Appeals affirmed Carver County District Court Judge Philip Kanning’s decision dismissing Bruce and Darlene Schwichtenberg’s lawsuit against Carver County and the Schwichtenberg’s neighbors, according to a release from Carver County.
On April 24, 2009, Carver County District Court Judge Richard Perkins committed Defendant Larry Andrew Suplinski, DOB 5/19/1987, to the custody of the Minnesota Commissioner of Corrections for a period of 119 months. Defendant will serve a minimum of 79 and 1/3 months in prison, and maximum of 39 and 2/3 months on supervised release. After Defendant completes the sentence, the Commissioner of Corrections will place him on conditional release for 10 years, minus the time served on supervised release.

Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler today announced the conviction of Anthony Joseph Aunan, 38, for the October 23, 2007 death of his girlfriend in Chaska, Minnesota.
Aunan, a former heroin addict, was enrolled in a methadone treatment program. Methadone is a powerful synthetic narcotic used therapeutically to quell cravings for heroin.
County attorney protests Richard Happ's transfer
Richard Happ, who stabbed his parents to death in 1999, was recently transferred to a different, less secure, facility, according to a Carver County Attorney’s Office press release.
Happ murdered his parents in their Waconia home with a butcher knife. His brother, David Happ, escaped the carnage and dialed 911. Richard Happ fled in a responding Carver County Sheriff’s Office squad car, resulting in a chase that ended near Lake Minnetonka.
